I don't believe it can.
I don't count minutes.
I don't count photographs.
I pay attention.

To the laugh that only happens after everyone forgets I'm holding a camera.
To the quiet glance your partner gives you when they think no one is looking.

That's why I don't charge by the hour or by photo count.

How Long is a Chapter?
Every story unfolds differently. Some chapters are quiet and complete before anyone notices the time. Others ask us to slow down, linger a little longer, and follow where the moments lead. That's why I don't photograph by the hour. I create enough space for your story to unfold naturally, and we finish when we've preserved something true—not when a timer goes off. Because stories aren't measured in minutes.
How many photographs will we receive?
Your gallery is never determined by a number. Every Chapter includes your complete story, thoughtfully edited and delivered with care. Some seasons naturally leave behind more photographs than others, but I've never believed meaningful stories should be reduced to a promised image count. If it helps tell your story, it belongs there.
What do you mean when you say "family?"
Family isn't defined by matching last names, biology, or a place on a family tree. It's the people who make your life feel like home. The ones whose laughter fills your kitchen. The hands you've reached for without thinking. The people you'll one day wish you could sit beside just one more ordinary afternoon. Whether that's your partner, your children, your parents, your grandparents, your closest friends, or the family you've chosen along the way... YOU ARE WELCOME HERE.

More than okay.
You don't need to know how to pose, where to look, or what to do with your hands. The only thing I ask is that you show up as yourselves—as honestly as you can in this season. That's enough.
You don't need perfectly behaved children. You don't need to perform. You don't need to create moments for me. You simply need to be present with the people you love. The rest is my privilege.
My work begins long before I ever press the shutter. It begins with witnessing—with paying attention, noticing the quiet ways you reach for one another, laugh together, comfort each other, and love the people who make your life feel like home.
I'll gently guide you when it's helpful, but my greatest hope is that before long, you forget the camera is even there. Because the most meaningful photographs aren't carefully orchestrated. They're simply lived. I'm just there to witness them.

Personally. Usually within 48 hours. Not a template, not an automated sequence — me, genuinely responding to what you shared. We'll figure out together what makes sense: the timing, the location, the kind of experience you're looking for, whether you want prints or a full heirloom experience.

We make it real, plan & capture with intention.
A retainer holds your date. From there, I take care of you. I'll be in touch before your session with everything you need to feel prepared — not over-directed, just held. You'll know what to expect, and you'll also know that I'm going to handle whatever you don't.
STEP 04
Your story comes to life & your archive grows.
Weeks after your session, you'll receive an online archive of images that tell the truth about who you were in this season of your life. We'll talk through heirloom products — albums, prints, framed pieces — that are meant to be touched, displayed, and handed down.
